Vote from now to March 29th to help the National ME/FM network win up to $20,000 in Canadian contest. We should hope they win.
This is, after all, an active group and the money will go far. The National ME/FM Action Network hosted the first IACFS/ME conference outside the US in Ottawa, Canada in 2012, they spearheaded the development of the Canadian Consensus definitions of ME/CFS, they’ve developed rosters of legal professionals to help with disability claims, they got specific medical codes instituted for ME/CFS and more.
Check out the National ME/FM’s Action Network’s beautiful website and the good work they do here.
This is another nail-biter! The Network is in fourth place – just out of the winnings by a few votes. Let’s move them up and bring home money for ME/CFS. Nobody deserves it more than we do.
Click here and then click on N to go to the NATIONAL ME/FM ACTION NETWORK and press vote. It will prompt you to enter your email address and some characters.
Please vote as much as you can until March 26th. You can vote once a day.
Wow..lots of votes in the few hours for Nat’l ME/FM Action Network @ 15,795…but that is still far from the 35,854 votes Reach for the Rainbow has already !!
Send the voting info/instructions to everyone you know; post it on websites, telephone and email everyone you know !!!

click on ‘N’, follow the yellow brick road ~
After midnight, lol, you can vote again.
I am happy to vote for them, as they have led in the field for us. Please do continue to vote!
Actually voting goes until March 29. We’re consistently 200 votes short of 3rd place (behind some kind of bird society). So we need at least 200 people consistently voting to get some prize money.
It’s really easy to vote, you don’t need a Facebook account, just an email address.
And you don’t have to be from Canada to vote. So if you’re reading this and not already voting, please do.
I have the link to the contest set up in my bookmarks list that I go through every day, so that reminds me to vote. http://www.sharethebounty.ca/charities.php
Thank you Cort!
We all know both Awareness and Fundraising for all our Invisible Illnesses are extremely difficult, and contests like these have been helping our community for a while, with some excellent rewards. It has also brought our International community together, with many from all countries participating and helping each other -whichever Org or country wins is a win for ALL of us.We don’t have celebrities, marches, etc..and clicking a mouse for 2 seconds at home is so easy—but convincing more people to do so isn’t always so easy..
In many of the first contests it was only for US charities, and Canadians participated in those. It is great now that Canada can be included too.
We participated recently in the Australia Tupperware contest too, and were thrilled when they won.

LET’S ALL VOTE, GET MORE TO VOTE, AND WIN SOME MORE FUNDS TO HELP ME/FM ACTION DO MORE FOR ALL OF US!!!
“Reach for the Rainbow” office staff and coordinators are now voting for us and will hopefully soon ask their membership to also vote for us.
A reciprocal agreement should happen very soon (today?) where we vote for them each day to help them win overall and they help us to win 3rd.
So please remember to vote for Reach each day too!
Thanks Tony – looking forward to that 🙂
It’s great that you’re covering this, Cort. We really are neck-and-neck and the daily voting until the 29th will decide it. We’re 3 votes behind fourth place right now!
As a community, we can win these contests if we all work together. We have the numbers, we just need people to take a few seconds to vote.
As soon as there’s a big contest like this, I’d like to see all our ME/CFS bloggers all over the world announce it and push it – we’ve already raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for ME research in these contests but we could raise a lot more IF WE ALL VOTED! 🙂
An add for the ME/FM Action Network will go out regularly in the blogs. I really thought they did a great job with Ottawa and, of course, they’ve played a major role in attempts to redefine ME/CFS.
That’s great, Cort! Voting is daily until 29 March and people may forget otherwise. 🙂
Per the vote : I can’t believe that we are less popular than birds and animal rescue. I guess if you’ve never suffered CFIDS the reaction to it is still, “Well, I am tired, too.”
