By the time this year is through Jarred Younger may have proven neuroinflammation is present in ME/CFS and uncovered what’s causing it, found another drug for fibromyalgia, and in what he called an “incredibly important study” demonstrated how the immune system may be producing pain in FM.
Check out what Jarred Younger is up to this year in

It is “incredibly important”. There is the link to ME/CFS and fibromyalgia, but there have also been researchers looking into the role of inflammation levels in the brain as cause of depression.
My sense is that we are close a breaktrough to a much better understand of causes for common psychiatric problems. And it is probably not just a lot of people needing extra serotonin.
Yes… I believe that a third of depression is caused by inflammation! Check out the new inflammation test Stanford is coming up with – it may be tailor-made for ME/CFS

Brain inflammation is already medically well known. This article mentions that it’s “most commonly” caused by virus. Does not acknowledge drug or other environmental toxins or injury, mold triggers. I believe the caution to “pace” is to prevent inflammation, though the psychiatric field will not acknowledge inflammation and its specific triggers other than virus. http://www.healthline.com/health/encephalitis#Complications7 Ironically, the recommendations to prevent brain encephalitis due to virus may trigger it in those vulnerable to chemical toxins!
Well viruses it’s always been the key!!
Look at Ms, every day past there is more and more association of viruses as the cause of Ms, HHV-6 foundation just published a study were the HHV-6 and herpes virade family viruses like EBV, HHV7 etc give potency to each other up on immmune suppression , via envelope protein, the recombination of the envelope protein from one to the other, we also see that with HTLV-1-2 when recombine with viruses from the herpes virade family,
Even more Interéstly that also happen with HIV, But the new studies talk about the receptors this herpes virade use to enter the cell, also the desregulation of the U24 protein or mutation of this antiviral protein .
Hmmm..
Brain and central nervous inflammation it actually could be at the top of the list in most of this diseases, but the strong association of this herpes viruses that have huge affinity do the central and peripheral nervous system including the brain is alarming .
Thanks Guille for the update 🙂 (So much to write about…so little time…)
Good point is that htlv-1-2 are neurotrophic , we all know they cause cancer and neurological disease ATL AND TSP/HAM, most people with Htlv infections ( apparently ) don’t develope the illnesses, but interesting that in the people that do develope this associated melphaty etc also have. Even link to Herpes from the herpes virade family like Hhv6, ebv, cmv.. etc
Hmmm..
Kind of similar happen to HIV ??
This herpes virade viruses often blamed for progression to AIDS.
Is there anything común ? A patern we are seen here?
Does that suggest something??
Cort, I just came across this news. https://www.dovepress.com/a-famciclovir–celecoxib-combination-treatment-is-safe-and-efficacious-peer-reviewed-article-JPR
It’s the result of the Pridgen trial. I am not sure if you have covered this before. If you have not, please do discuss it.
