Numerous tilt table studies indicate that orthostatic intolerance (increased symptoms while standing) is common in fibromyalgia - placing it in a similar disease category as chronic fatigue syndrome and postural orthostatic intolerance syndrome (POTS). Sleep issues, pain, fatigue, allodynia, anxiety, irritable bowel and others could all result from the autonomic nervous system problems found in these diseases.
