A 2017 fibromyalgia (FM) study found very (very) high rates of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Contrast the @40% rate of ADHD found in the 123 person study with the 45% rate of ADHD the study found in FM.
If rates are that high in FM, they may be similar in ME/CFS in where problems with information processing speeds and executive functioning are also found. The cognitive problems are significant enough in these two diseases for two terms describing them (fibrofog, brainfog) to have entered the medical lexicon.
