Major surgery and CFS?

Greetings
I have been at bedrest for 2 years with severe fatigue. In addition, I have a 30-year history of Addison's Disease. The fatigue cause has been suggested as a possible new autoimmune disease but remains unknown.
I have found, along with most of us, it is a self-protective measure to avoid saying “I have CFS.” I go with severe fatigue to avoid the almost comical persistent avoidance by doctors to address it.

Following knowledgeable medical confirmations, I am scheduled soon for anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, one level C3,4, for severe cervical stenosis with symptoms.

My question:
Have any of you suffering souls who are largely at bedrest, no longer able to drive, work, dress daily, shop, cook, socialize as before, etc. had spine or other major surgery and how was your recovery?

If you are up to it, your thoughts are appreciated.
