Experience with vagus nerve stimulation

I'm wondering about folks' experience with vagus nerve stimulation to help ME/CFS. I tried TaVNS (transcutaneous auricular Vagus Nerve Stimulation) with a TENS unit and an ear clip awhile back and crashed, but I'm not sure if the crash was caused by the TaVNS or if it was coincidental. My doctor thinks if I can stick with it for about four months (without crashing) I might get some serious benefit, and I'm wondering if any of you have had that experience and what settings you used (TENS unit settings, how long you kept it on, time of day, etc.). Also, has anyone found vagus nerve stimulation to cause a crash or found other effective ways of stimulating the vagus nerve that have been helpful? Any additional info or ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your help!

There is a Facebook group AVA A Vagus Adventure dedicated to using vagus nerve devices.

The use of TENS machines is very specific, as most machines are too powerful, so step-by-step advice is given. And Dawn has discount codes for various other devices.

I have not crashed using my TENS machine, but I am very careful to keep my use of it quite low. I think the first benefit I felt was a return of my appetite and a reduction of gastroparesis.

I've been using the Amofit S+ since March last year and have seen a real difference.
My ability to concentrate has improved, brain fog has disappeared and I can read, listen to music, watch series and films again.
Physically, the improvement is less obvious, but there is some improvement. I've regained some muscle strength and I'm much less dizzy.
The Facebook group is a mine of information and experience sharing.
