Interesting. I don't have any of these issues, but other women in my family, who don't have ME, do. I have wondered about our family genetics. I'm in my early 50s, post menopause.

Vulvodynia from 1999-2016. Cured in 2016 by stopping birth control pills and using estrogen cream and testosterone ointment.

Hi Cort, I was already dx'd with Fibro when I had my hyst however my hyst was for fibroids but when they got in there they found Endometriosis and its cousin Adenomyosis along with Shriveled up ovaries and endo all over my bowels as well. Right after the hyst I began having migraines 4-6 days a week and nothing we tried stopped them. Prior to the hyst I had maybe 1 day a month with migraine. I ended up going on disability because of the migraine. Nothing helped and I lived this way for 18 years and essentially gave up on finding anything to help me. After moving from Pacific NW to Ohio and remarrying, my new dr in Ohio convinced me to see a headache specialist who agreed I had tried virtually everything except BOTOX and arranged for me to try that. What a godsend that has been for me - essentially got my life back. Now funny thing is that the treatment was available when all this migraine mess began but was considered experimental however if I had been able to try it back at the beginning of all of this mess I might not have had to go on disability at all and might not have had to lose my career or income levels - talk about your life lost!!! I want to share my story with your project because of that issue alone. Going from a 30k income to about 13K because of health issues back in 2000 was a huge drop in income - I can only imagine what my income would be today if I were still working...
